graphical advent calendars

graphical advent calendar by Living At Home

It’s time to think about Advent calendars for your beloved ones. Only three weeks left, till its start. Last year I’ve collected some last minute Advent calendar ideas, because I was short on time for big crafting projects. But this year I think, there are enough days to prepare one of these pretty graphical Advent calendars. Love how they play with colors and patterns.

Wintertime: winter minialbums

Wintertime: winter minialbums by momentstolivefor
{ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 }

Time for some minialbum inspiration – aren’t these lovely minialbums? Everyone seems to participate in the “December Daily” challenge and I loved all these minis, but I’m curious why so few scrapbookers used winter as a theme. Why don’t you collect your favorite winter memories in a book? The times, you spend with your family or friends outside – go sledding, make a snowball fight or snow angels. Or an hour by yourself sitting on your favorite armchair, drinking a hot cup of chocolate and reading your favorite book, while it’s snowing outside. Definitely moments worth capturing, don’t you think? 🙂

Wintertime: photo session in the snow

How about a little photoshooting on a snowy winterday? If you are taking a walk with friends or your family, take your camera with you. This opportunity to take photos in the snow doesn’t come along that often. So here’s some inspiration:

have fun and enjoy 🙂

photo walk: wintertime - frost on leaves by momentstolivefor

It’s been a while since I did a photo walk. But on Saturday it felt right and I took my camera and my zoom lens with me on my way to the city. It was the first day this year with a wonderful blue sky and sunshine. A little snow had fallen the last days and frost was on everything – so everything sparkled and glittered. It was so beautiful.

Wintertime: winter decoration

The Seasons Project: Wintertime

It’s time to start with the Seasons Project again. This time naturally “WINTERTIME“. So every week I will post something seasonal like a winter DIY or inspiration for a winter minialbum.

To start, here are my favorite winter decoration ideas (many with tutorials) – will definitely try some of these, when I find the time. It wasn’t that easy to find real winter decoration, precisely not Christmas inspired things. Of course the dominant color is white, snowy white and much glitter. But I really like the use of navy blue and red, to bring a little more color into the room. I think, light blue and turquois is a wonderful option too for a winterly landscape in your room.
