Like I promised last week, here comes the tutorial for the second picture I made for my livingroom wall. It’s very simple, but takes more time because of the paint. So lets get started. 🙂

You need a little canvas, some paint – I used varnish – in different colors, a stamp, washi tape that matches your chosen colors and some scrapbooking letters.

At first you paint a background with different colors. I used one color for each layer, let everything dry for at least half an hour and went to the next layer. I used black as the first one, so it wouldn’t pop up so much. The accents I set in gold and finally white. I had in mind, that I wanted to use the white area for stamping and writing, so I filled this part entirely.

Afterwards I stamped three cameras on the white area and painted two of them black and golden.

For the final effect I used one of my favorite washi tapes with matching colors to add some accents and those lovely letters from Bella Boulevard – Sophisticates. And that’s it. Easy, isn’t it? 🙂

Here’s a teenie tiny DIY, that’s fast to do, but can make your wall look much more sunnier. I’m still looking for some inspiration for my livingroom wall, but last weekend I started the process by creating this picture in only half an hour.

I chose a little square canvas and some yellow and orange washi tapes. Finally I went with only two of them – the bright yellow ones, which fitted most the theme of sunshine.

I taped two lines at top and bottom of the canvas. Be sure to cut it long enough to go to the back of the picture, so the ends of the stripes won’t pop up. After that I went for my scrapbooking supply to search for a happy alphabete and found this:

The most difficult part was to bring the letters in the right position, because I did it without measuring, just free hand. But I think this is very close to perfect 😉

Next to it hangs the other picture, I made last weekend. I will post the tutorial next week.
