little leaves - balcony update 2013 by momentstolivefor
A little update from our balcony. One and a half month ago we planted everything, now it’s green everywhere, in every single flower pot. And if it is just these little leaves. The herbs are running riot like weeds and the tomato plants are already at waist level. Don’t know, where this will end. Everytime I look at the plants I think they have grown again at least five centimeters. We used already some herbs for cooking, but I can’t wait to eat the first tomatoes from our home grown tomato plants. How’s your garden or balcony doing?

minialbum: summer manifesto 2013

minialbum: summer manifesto 2013 cover by momentstolivefor
I love Ali Edwards idea of a summer manifesto and her idea to write down a goal on one side and leave the other side for the proof with text and photo. You can download the cover of her new summer manifesto here and purchase the entire pages here.

Although I find her pages lovely, I decided to make a similar book without printing pages, but using my beloved stamps and scrapbooking papers instead. The layout is similar to Ali Edward’s pages: left side the goal, right side room for proof. Here are some pages of the minialbum. If you want to know, what my other goals for this summer are, then read on here.

For the minialbum I used Amy Tangerine‘s Alphabet stamp set, the ‘I love’ stamp by Elise Joy and papers by echo park paper & co (from the set Summer Days, Playground and Little Girl) and by Bella Boulevard (from the set Sunshine Happiness and Socialite).

have fun creating your own summer manifesto minialbum

what a weekend

What a weekend! There was so much going on, that it could have filled an entire week. We helped at a childrens birthday party with 20 children. They camped in the garden and we had fun sleeping in a hammock next to them in the garden. It was fun, but was I thankful for my first cup of coffee, that my friend brought me in the morning. You can see, how groggy I looked when I woke up.

Later on Saturday we visited a medieval fair, similar to the one I took a photo walk at last fall, but smaller. I really like, how everyone is dressed up and how professional and real everything looks. The people are taking it really serious and pay attention to every little detail, it’s amazing.

Furthermore we made a bike trip through the Hamme lowland on Sunday. We tried to soak up every bit of sunshine, we could get. And enjoyed a big cup of vanilla icecream and yummy strawberries. Oh, how I love them. Can’t get enough of them. Afterwards we lay down on the grass and let the sun fill our energy reserves. It was so lovely.

But if you think, that’s it, you are wrong. Above all we took a canoe tour on the Hamme river on Friday. But I will post the photos tomorrow, simply because they are so beautiful.

hope you all had an amazing and sunny weekend as well
