I like to look at crafty messes on desks and floors. When I started posting regularly craft ideas, I thought it would be fun to share my own crafty moments and not just the finished product. But when I posted them on my Instagram account @momentstolivefor, it just didn’t fit my other pictures of landscapes and flowers. Don’t know why. For so many it works to mix these themes up, but not for me. It just felt wrong.
So I struggled for a long time, how to solve this puzzle. I considered Facebook as an alternative for posting my work-in-progress photos, but I’m just not a Facebook-kinda girl. Somehow I can’t keep up with the feed. I always forget to read the feed regularly, so it’s mostly just once a week. Therefore this wasn’t really an option.
The other alternative was a second Instagram account, but I couldn’t figure out, what I wanted to name it. I considered moving my landscape and flower photos to another account, so I could use my blog name for the craft photos. But I didn’t wanted to start over again, since I have so many followers already. And then yesterday, out of the blue, it hit me. What about a simple and clear name like ‘Sabine crafts’? It states exactly, what the account will show, my crafts in progress. So from now on you can follow my crafty adventures, not only on my blog here, but on Instagram at @sabinecrafts too. I’m so happy and excited about this new opportunity.
