tell me your favorite blog & win a surprise package | momentstolivefor.com

One of my goals this month is to find new marvelous blogs to read. From time to time I clean my feed of all the blogs, that don’t inspire me any longer or that talk about themes no longer relevant to me. My focus in life is always changing and so is my taste. Since I’m mostly around the same blog themes lately, it’s hard to find really new blogs. Where are the blogrolls everyone had on her and his blog two years ago? It was the best way to find new amazing blogs.

This is the reason, why I would like to ask you, to tell me your favorite blog in the comments. The one, who suggests the blog I will love the most, will win a surprise package, stuffed with fabulous things. The call ends at Feb 26th 6PM CET and is open to everyone. I will announce the winner at March 08th.

–> I announced the winner here.

Here are some things I love to read about: crafts, photography, travel, art, blogging business, art journaling, simplifying, life lessons, scrapbooking, projects, goals, … and some more. But I’m totally open to new themes. I love beautiful photos that inspire me and make me want to get better at it. Texts that make me think about life and myself. Projects (craft, photography, life) which keep me thinking about new projects for my own. Crafts that lead to new directions in my work.

Here are my all time favorite blogs I read religiously, most of them for years:

wanderlust: why I love to travel

Wanderlust | momentstolivefor.com

One of my biggest passions is traveling. Since my childhood, when my parents took me on little city trips all around our home town or on vacation to Sweden and Spain. Or later traveling with friends to Denmark and the Netherlands. Or last year our road trip through Munich, Vienna and Prague, only one year after my big bike tour through North-West Germany. I always loved to travel and always will be – to see new places and take it all in. That’s maybe the reason, why I chose to study geography. To be able to do all these amazing field trips to Greece, Maroc and big journeys through Germany.

I’m not someone, who flies far away to sit two weeks at the beach and do nothing but drinking cocktails and reading a book. I’m more an adventurous person, who wants to get to know the country and its people. So I’m always wandering around, roaming the streets or riding my bike through interesting landscapes. I really like to walk through cities, not jumping on the bus to get from one sightseeing point to another, but walking the streets and seeing the real life all around me. Here are some things I try to collect and lern on my journeys:

  • lern about other life styles – why do people things differently than me
  • see amazing architecture from all ages of mankind and cultures
  • be inspired by cultural and historical art
  • capture beautiful landscapes and cities with my camera
  • see something different apart from my daily routines
  • discover new food and drinks
  • lern about people’s way of life and how they got there historically
  • take little adventures while wandering around
  • get to know this world and its people and understand their way of life better

No wonder though, that the biggest part of my life list is filled with traveling goals. Therefore I decided to share this passion of mine with you and blog about my travel adventures, past and future ones, regularly and make it a feature. The new ‘wanderlust‘ feature. If you want to see my travel posts, you can now visit my wanderlust page in the header. You will see an interactive map, where everyone of my travel blog posts is marked, so you can look for example for special places, which interest you.

More than that you can find on this page some projects (photo and craft), which are perfect for traveling, like the travel journal to document your journey or a photo project to keep records of the real journey, not only the beautiful moments but the road you took: photo project – 25 km. Additionally I share some of my best travel photos on Instagram @momentstolivefor.

What would you like to know about a place? What interests you the most? Why do you love to travel? Tell me in the comments.

be adventurous & discover the world

so honored – the secret

So, finally I can tell you about my secret project: the sweet & lovely Caylee features me on her blog today. I’m so, so honored. This is a dream come true for me! Thank you so much, Caylee. And thank you for your oh so kind words.

I love Caylee’s concept for feature posts. It’s genius. She doesn’t want you to answer her questions via text, but instead craft something in your very own style. This was the most fun I had in a long, long time crafting an entire evening and designing these layouts. Hop over to Caylee’s beautiful, inspiring blog to see the other layouts. Thank you again, Caylee, for this great opportunity and the fun I had thanks to you!

Be sure to look at the other featured bloggers too. They are so inspiring!
