For weeks I had my fall wreath on my door and everytime I came home, it looked at me and asked: “When will you take me down and exchange me for a season suitable one?”
Tuesday was this day. An idea stroke, so I took action. I gathered tape, felt butterflies, cardboard and news papers and started crafting.
After I cut the ring out of cardboard with help of two plates, I took one piece of crumbled news paper after the other, put it on the ring and taped around it. I taped the ring twice to make sure, that no holes were to be seen. Then I used one of my favorite washi tapes to color it and a few feathers, whos quills I stuffed under the tape.
Finally I glued three felt butterflies to the wreath and used a fabric band in the same color for hanging.
I love this wreath. It’s so sunny and gives me a feeling of spring and summer at the same time. 🙂
